Science - Our Mission

The Leibniz Institute for Environmental Medicine Research (IUF), one of the leading institutes in Germany for molecular prevention of environmentally induced health disorders, requires an alarm concept for the control and monitoring of animal housing. The focus is on observing and predicting the behavior of laboratory animals under specific living conditions by collecting and pooling data.

Our solution

To meet these requirements, we develop not only the alarm concept, but also the necessary software for use based on commercially available hardware components, which come from different manufacturers. The solution is based on Zigbee, GSM and Bluetooth and uses devices from Texas Instruments.

The result

The successful implementation of the aforementioned solution was designed not only for necessary alarm signaling but also serves as a preferred option for a comprehensive yet cost-effective way to efficiently, administratively low, quickly, and reliably signal alarms with energy efficiency.
