An astro software construction kit with infinite possibilities

Astro Bric Stack is a framework with a wide range of software components that can be individually assembled to communicate with each other and define and automate any scenario in scientific fields, especially observational astronomy and astrophysics. The framework equally supports the connected hardware, e.g. the mounting of a telescope or the control of a camera connected to a telescope, as well as purely software-technical components, which were developed e.g. for analysis purposes or as support of corresponding processes for the control of arbitrary hardware components.

A platform that grows with every requirement – flexible, dynamic, and practical

Our Astro Bric Stack Framework can be extended by means of own components – thus we offer science a dynamic, constantly growing platform that addresses any problem in this field. For example, a large number of components for the control of telescopes, their connected devices as well as evaluation possibilities are already available. The collection of components is constantly being expanded. A large number of the available components can also be used in the sense of education and training at schools and universities. This includes in particular the robotic operation of telescopes as well as their collective interconnection of all devices required for observation, such as cameras, focusers, rotators, filter wheels and many more.

Successful deployment at our customer DLR

At DLR our headless platform for satellite tracking is in use. In addition to the application of common processes in satellite tracking, such as TLE and CPF processing, EMS data of the CCSDS standard is also supported here and can be applied “on the fly”.
